GUIDE TO ONLINE SCHOOLS
Veterinary Technicians, also known as vet techs, assist
veterinarians by performing many routine tasks, such as medical
tests, urinalysis, blood counts, dog dental cleaning, and x-rays.
In short, a veterinary technician is the “animal” equivalent to a
medical nurse. To enroll in a
veterinary technician course, please see our list of
accredited online colleges and read more about our
online
degree
programs.

The Virginia Horse Center
The Virginia Horse Center is a 600 acre state-of-the-art
environment for horse shows and other livestock events. There are
currently eight barns to accommodate 750 horses in permanent stabling,
and approximately 1200 horses indoors in permanent and temporary
stabling. Two of the barns are winterized, which along with their
proximity to our 4,000 seat indoor coliseum, allow the horse show
calendar to extend throughout the year.
The Virginia Horse Center has
eighteen show rings and arenas, including the 300' x 150' indoor Waldron
Arena in the Howard P. Anderson Coliseum. There is a five-mile Olympic
caliber cross-country course, and also an internationally recognized
carriage driving marathon course on our Oak Hill property. Future plans
for Oak Hill include a steeplechase course and steeplechase timber as
well. The Center also offers such amenities as a
2 campgrounds,
a
