I would definitely stay away from light oil colours for leather. Either a dark brown or black would look very nice.

As for silver. I could see to much silver not working with a grey horse. You can purchase conchos and saddle kits that are made of a combination of black and gold. Im thinking that might look really nice.

I dunno....any more ideas folks

i think any colour saddle would go. same with the bridle and stuff. and i would add some colour like a purple or blue show pad instead of the traditional black. I would also stay light on the silver. only cuz too much looks tacky. Keep your show cloths Black, w/ a colorful design for the slinky (or vest) and if u use a colorful showpad make sure it is the same colour on the slinky or vest design.

as for halter. go Black with gold or just plain black. also use a gold chain and lead! also if her face is very dished go for the thinner halter if she has a straighter profile head (like my arab in my avatar) go for the thicker halter especially over the nose

if u have some pics of ur horses if what make it easier to help u, as different shades of grey look better with different colours

Yep I agree. Stay away from the light oil colors and light colors.

I have a perlino and light oil and lots of silver looks horrible on him!

Go with dark or med oil saddle/bridle and easy on the silver try not to over do it.

With that said you can pretty much go with any color in the rainbow for a contrasting color.

I sort of disagree although both would look fine dark or a light oil tack. My friend has a grey arab and uses a light oil saddle with just enough silver one it to notice it, with a nice black saddle pad which make the light oil saddle stand out! I like the light oil bridles on grey horses to because it doesn't take away from there face too. JMOT!

I'd would use whatever is current on the circuit you show on. For example, the arab shows I've been to most of the horses are still in dark oil tack, so that would be fine. I wouldn't invest in a black show saddle for a few reasons; they can be hard to find, and they are not very current and would be hard to re-sell. Pecan and light oil tack is very current, easy to find, and looks good on all colors of horses.
Happy Trails!
