I think it goes both ways. It's just some individuals think their riding style is either superior or harder than the other. But as we both know, neither is easier nor funner. They just don't know what they are talking about. I hate when people bash english too calling us stuck up riders just plodding around in a circle. I've just learnt to ignore it and remember they don't know what they are talking about. Good luck

In my experience, I have NEVER heard a western rider putting down the english discipline. It seems to be more common that the english riders put down the western discipline.

I've heard it go both ways also.
Personally, I think riding is riding no matter what discipline you're doing. We're all in it for the same reason, eh? ![]() I would never put down someone because they're riding differently than I do. I've gotten lots of rude comments about me riding backwards (see avatar picture) lol

i have heard both ways. western riders are just as bad as english riders for knocking down each others disaplines.
Personally i'm both a western gurl and an english gurl. i ride both, i've shown both and i enjoy both just as much! I own a western pleasure horse and hunter pleasure horse. i ride and train them equally as much, so i ave no reason to diss either disapline! |
