I would place this class of Paints, 2, 3, 1
#2 immediately jumps out as being the most balanced and correct of the group, as well as being in the best condition. He has the shortest, strongest topline, the longest most sloping hip, and the lowest set, most correctly angled hocks. I'd have to fault him for having the shortest neck in the group. #3 is at a disadvantage due to the way she is shown in this picture. Stock horses shouldn't be shown w/ their head up that high, it makes her look ewe necked and hollow backed, though I dont think she is. She has the typiest head of the group, however she's longer across the topline than horse #2, and lacks angulation in her shoulders and hocks. #1 isn't in the same physical condition as the other two horses. He is also the longest and weakest across the topline, has straighter higher set hocks, and the weakest hip and stifle. He does however have the best neck in the class, with it being the most appropriate in length for his body, and it ties nicely into his chest, and has clean well defined withers.
