Hello! Doc and I are having an awesome time here - learning TONS. I've met two other Parelli 'people' and we've shared ideas as to how to get together for a play date. Doc is my little Hunter Pony now, lol, going walk-trot under saddle and is absolutely solid around the freakish points we encounter like the scary sheds by the arena. We went on our first hack last night down the road with the resident stallion and his rider, and it was wonderful! He didn't spook at the 'terrible' dog running unseen through the bushes, crashing through the undergrowth and darting through the ditch, we saw the road signs and like good signs are supposed to do, they didn't grow into monsters or start swaggering towards us in 'usual sign-style'. hehe.

How is Max doing Eponadesign? And your new mare! Congratulations!

Now, to give voice to the silent Sara in my head - I'm going to try and get some money this summer to partake in a Jonathan Field clinic in August! Do you have to be qualified before taking upper level clinics? We are most definately past Level One. Does it matter that I haven't got the handbooks for either level you think?

No Dark man, I hadn't officially passed my level 1 when I went to my first clinic. If you call jonathan ahead, he might even asses you at the clinic, thats what MArc Rea did for me.

He might ask you but it sounds like you're ready, what are you going to do, a level 2 or Advanced Level 2 or what? As far as the booklets go, that probably depends on the instructor. Marc explained everything really clearly, so you diodn't really have to know anything to be able to go to the clinic, but Jonathan might expect more of you, I don;'t know. But in my opinion, If worse comes to worse, you can always just sheepishly watch someone else in the clinic do the task, and then start it yourself.

That is awesome everything is going so well for you guys. I hape you have tons of fun. IT is so nice to be able to go out on the trails now that the wheather is getting nice.

Happy Trails
