Dr. Melyni Worth Ph.D.

Melyni Worth, originally from Great Britain, by way of Kenya, has a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Biochemistry from Newcastle University, received a Masters in Equine Nutrition from University College of Wales (Aberystwyth) and a Ph.D in Equine Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from VPI& SU (Virginia Tech). Melyni holds a British Horse Society Assistant Instructors certification, and an International Trainers License (II) from the European Union, and has trained horses and taught riders for 28 years. She has taught riding and horse management programs at college level as well as being a life-time rider and competitor.

Melyni trains and rides (sometimes competitively) in Eventing, Dressage, Hunters and Jumpers.

Based in Staunton, Virginia, Melyni works as a consultant and writer in equine nutrition and exercise physiology. Her company Foxden Equine specializes in products which assist horses and riders to attain and maintain athletic performance. As well as therapy lasers, Foxden Equine is also the producer of Quiessence a nutritional calmative for horses, and TractGard a GI tract re-hydrator, anti-acid and digestaid. LinPro for stamina and outstanding hoof growth, LinGro for excellent growth in babies with minimal risk of OCD. Other products are also in the 'pipeline'.
